Impatiens speciesThe Jewelweed plant is a natural remedy and preventative for poison ivy, oak, and many other skin disorders. Jewelweed grows wild in abundance in the Eastern United States and parts of Canada. Results of a clinical study showed dramatic results in 95% of people who used a jewelweed extract for poison ivy rash. Our users report similar results with our products. It is helpful as a treatment even if you have a full outbreak. It is recommended that you see your physician about severe cases of Rhus dermatitis.

I made my first soap and spray in 1996 because I had heard of Jewelweed as a poison ivy remedy, and my frequent jaunts to the woods to do my web site photography kept me chronically broke out with Rhus dermatitis. So after two years of experimenting with recipes and trying them on family and friends, I came up with a remedy that I felt was much more effective than anything I had tried before for poison ivy and oak rash. The products also proved to have a usable life span of two years. This is my sixth year of selling Jewelweed products on the internet and I have had the pleasure of serving 1000's of satisfied customers. Many customers order over and over again.

Jewelweed Soap is used in bath or shower after exposure or at first signs of poison ivy/poison oak itch for best results and to prevent breakout. Regardless of the extent of poison ivy or oak rash, or how long you have had it; you should see great improvement in rash within hours. The first Jewelweed treatment is expected to help dramatically with itching. Further Jewelweed treatments are helpful in continuing healing and counteracting any further exposure to the irritant.

Customer satisfaction is our #1 priority.

This product is a home remedy and not sanctioned by the FDA. They don't like herbs and plant remedies. So try it risk free and see for yourself how well it works in 95% of cases.

Lather soap on the whole body, leave on at least 30 seconds or until itching subsides and rinse lightly. One thorough treatment should do the trick unless you re-expose yourself by touching clothes or pets that have been in contact with Poison Ivy. However for best results you should use the soap for a few days. Our soap is very gentle and can be used every day if needed. Some people simply wet the soap and apply without rinsing, however thorough washing is recommended to eliminate the irritant. Jewelweed soap is helpful with many other rashes and irritations as well as useful in controlling acne and razor bumps. Regular use of this soap after exposure will prevent breakouts from occurring.

Tip:   Do not use other external treatments that contain oil or alcohol in combination with jewelweed products, as this may interfere with the action of the jewelweed. Amazing Jewel is formulated to be used alone or in combination with any internal medicine your doctor may prescribe.

Tincture SprayGlycerin based Jewelweed tincture is now available in a plastic spray bottle for convenient applications.  Apply to areas affected by poison ivy 3 times a day after washing with jewelweed soap. Stinging or warming may occur on sensitive areas. Be sure to do a patch test before applying on large areas. It is not for internal use. 1-2 ounces may be used as a bath soak for at least 20 minutes to ease widespread rash. You should consult with a physician about treating poison ivy, oak and sumac rashes. You may have poison sumac which is more difficult to cure and your doctor may want to give you steroid shots to help the healing process. Poison Sumac irritation is much worse than poison ivy and oak and can be fatal. Jewelweed products may help with the irritation but you should still see a doctor if you feel sick.

Jewelweed Salve : Our salve is made with all natural ingredients and contains only Jewelweed infused in sunflower oil and natural beeswax. It can be used for all skin conditions, and also may be useful as a barrier.

"The results of a clinical study, in which a 1:4 jewelweed preparation was compared for its effectiveness with other standard poison ivy dermatitis treatments was published in 1958 (Annals of Allerty 1958;16:526-527). Of 115 patients treated with jewelweed, 108 responded ?most dramatically to the topical application of this medication and were entirely relieved of their symptoms within 2 or 3 days after the institution of treatment.' It was concluded that jewelweed is an excellent substitute for ACTH and the corticosteroids in the treatment of poison ivy dermatitis. The active principle in the plant responsible for this activity remains unidentified.   by Varro Tyler, PhD in his book HERBS OF CHOICE
