Cardinal Flower

Lobelia Cardinalis

Cardinal Flower is a strikingly beautiful wildflower of late summer. Cardinal Flower grows in moist places, bogs, stream edges and ditches. It grows to four feet tall. Native to most of Eastern North America. Always look for this one when the sun is in Leo, not surprising for it has a bold vibrant personality. Cardinal Flower was a Native American remedy for syphilis, however it is rarely used medically these days.
